I dislike the NBA

TY and I went to this game.
The Nets Are Resting Players Against The Bulls For Some Reason
The Nets tanked for no apparent reason. Their spot in the standings was set. They weren't resting for a playoff push. Their record is a stinky 20-61. I heard some radio nabob howl, "The Nets are resting their players. They've only won 20 games, so how tired could they be!"

Well, the Bull won by 40 points. The Nets decision ensured 1) that the Bulls got the last playoff spot, and 2) that the game was crap. The Miami Heats were competing with the Bull for that last playoff spot. How'd you like to be a Heat fan?!? Or, how would you like to be a guy (like me) whose favorite player in the NBA is Jeremy Lin. Well, here's J-Lin, just a few feet away from my seat for the game. (grrr)

The cherry on top.
Just 4 days ago... The Nets actually beat the Bulls in Brooklyn, 107-106.

I dislike the NBA.
The synthetic teams. Bogus LeBron. Players skipping games. Three-pointers and no defense.
The NBA routinely flips off their fans because they know the fans don't care. Well, I do.
I dislike the NBA.

I like Scrabble

Today (Apr 13) is National Scrabble Day. (?)
Yup. It's on the Internets. It's got to be true.
There's some crazy shit in that page. Did you know...
  • More than 150M Scrabble games have been sold with sets being found in nearly one-third of American homes
  • The creator of Scrabble is a dude named Alfred Mosher Butts
  • The word “scrabble” means to “grope frantically.”
Scrabble! Grope frantically!

I like marketing, too

White Sock marketing. Those lads are working for a living.
Their latest promo idea is WAY out there: Game of Thrones Night! (snort)

It's Wed Jul 19 against the Dodger. Interested?

Here's an extremely effective Twitter ad. Marketing!

This is almost a real update. I found some worthy stories. All relate to Trump-success.
First, here's a Trump-tweet that sets the table.

"Big changes are happening"

Thanks to the lads in Lisle over at The Morning News for this one... a 93% drop in illegal immigration. Yow!

President Donald Trump has won the first major battle in his war on illegal immigration, and he did it without building his wall.
The victory was announced last week by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which released figures showing a 93 percent drop since December of parents and children caught trying to cross the Mexico border illegally.
- reuters story

Drain the swamp and resize the federal government. Fewer $$$ to the feds means power shifting away from government and to the people.

Last Wednesday, the ball really got rolling when Trump ended his temporary freeze on federal hiring, and announced a plan to "resize" the government to make it less costly, more productive and more responsive to average citizens. It's the kind of thing that private businesses do all the time, but that Big Government with its 2.9 million workers does almost never.
It's Official: Trump's Swamp-Draining Begins

I'll bet $$$ you haven't heard of this one. It's new to me. Obama had been working on a plan to build a global beuarocracy called the Financial Stability Board to regulate American banks.
Are you kidding me. The international Financial Stability Board... what a fucking cluster!?!

The goal was to create a common set of financial regulations governing the activities of financial firms in all G-20 countries—from the U.S. and the European Union to Russia, Turkey, India and Argentina.
The G-20 plan was to be carried out by a newly deputized international body called the Financial Stability Board, made up of regulators from around the world, including the U.S. Treasury, the Fed and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Curtains for global financial regulation

Trump is important.
thanks... yow, bill

PS - Trump is important... and a goof. (ha)
